"Nice hotel. Really neat to see the history of it in the pictures and articles inside. Rooms would not get cool but staff was quick to provide a fan which cooled enough. Not sure it would be enough in summer. Hard to judge everything as we're there in the off season so much of the property was closed. My biggest complaint was the breakfast buffet. The food was fine, but we had to get our own table service, plates, food, and drinks. The server brought nothing to the table but our bill which included a mandatory 20% gratuity. I probably would have left a couple bucks out of courtesy but a mandatory tip with zero service is just dumb.
Rooms were nice. Dated but clean and the property felt safe. Would be interested to see what's like during season."
