Are you planning to organize some days in Kumamoto? Need to find a place to stay in Kurokawa? The middle of Kurokawa is home to 7 well regarded apartments and hotels within easy driving distance.
One of just a small number of lodgings within a 2 miles (3 kilometers) walk of the center of downtown Kurokawa, is the Aso Villa Park Hotel & Spa Resort.
The Aso Resort Grandvrio Hotel is located 3 miles (5 kilometers) outside of the town center of Kurokawa. Another accommodation option is the Aso Plaza Hotel, which is 4 miles (6 kilometers) away. Another two options here include the Hotel Route-Inn Kumamoto Oozu Ekimae and the Hotel Vista Kumamoto Airport.
Planning to make your way further afield? Kyushu and Okinawa has a number of attractions worth checking out. Admire the terrain of Kyushu and Okinawa's beaches. In addition, you should visit a few of its ruins, castles and old towns. Common things to do in this part of Japan include mountain biking and hiking.
6 miles (9 kilometers) from Kurokawa, you will find Minamiaso, where you can spend the day visiting Shirakawa Springs and Aso Sarumawashi Theater. A few Travelocity-listed Minamiaso accommodations include the Hotel Greenpia Minami Aso and Bettei Soan. 30 miles (48 kilometers) to the west of Kurokawa, you will find Tamana, which features the Tamana Onsen Hotel Shirasagi and Satsuki Bessou. "Great hotel and onsen, especially for the price. We were assigned one of the 8th floor themed rooms with the Aso bear as decoration—adorable and great room. Room was spacious and beds comfortable. The buffet dinner and breakfast were well worth the price! The kids’ play room was fun; the indoor pool was great (including a sauna at 95 Celsius). We didn’t get a chance to do the regular onsen, but did reserve a private onsen, which was cheap and well worth it if you’re a little uncomfortable otherwise. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Location is great for visiting the Aso area as well. 10/10 hotel."
