We’ve stayed at this property in Maui multiple times and have always had great experiences, which is why we decided to splurge on the penthouse this trip. Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing.The check-in process was by far the most difficult we’ve ever experienced with any vacation rental. There were multiple steps, deadlines, and requirements (including ID verification and photos) on top of the standard Vrbo process, which felt excessive and frustrating.The unit itself showed signs of not being used often. There was noticeable dust in several areas, and overall it didn’t feel as clean or well-maintained as expected for the price point. Surprisingly, the view from the penthouse was not as good as what we’ve had on lower floors in previous stays.The biggest issue was communication. During a major storm, we reached out to report water coming into the unit and did not receive a response for two days. Meanwhile, other guests on the property mentioned their hosts proactively checked on them, which made the lack of response even more noticeable.The property itself is still great, but based on this experience, we would not rent through this management company again.
