Mount Airy Casino Resort - Adults Only 21+
"Beautiful resort...the drive in through the golf course provided a beautiful sense of arrival. Valet parking is included in the room rate, so very nice to be greeted at the porte cochere and have our car parked for us. The front desk check in experience was seamless and the staff was very courteous and professional. Rooms are clean and well kept. Overall, a good stay...but unfortunately there were a few things that would likely have me looking elsewhere on my next trip to the Poconos: 1: I am not a gambler, so the casino was not really important to me. Being in the hotel business for 30+ years, I am well aware of the importance of the casino to a "casino-hotel" property...but it actually took away from my experience, because the smell of smoke permeated the entire resort, including all the way up to our non-smoking room on the 6th floor. 2: All food and beverage options are accessed through the casino. Again I understand, but the smell, the crowd and the noise distracted from the experience. 3: There was no "lobby bar" or other lounge area away from the casino floor. In fact, there was really no bar other than the one on the casino floor that was loud, crowded, and smelled like smoke."
