Lovely friendly people, comfortable room and great food. If you are staying in one of the attic rooms, just be aware that the shower may be hand held as there isn't room for a normal shower due to the slope of the roof. Great view of the castle though!

Unfortunately I had a puncture, the lady on reception couldn’t have been more helpful. She had a pump which she kindly lent me . Hugely grateful!! The hotel is getting a bit tired but the staff are so friendly , the food is first class .

Good quality, characterful stopover in a pretty town. I imagine it is busier and more fully staffed in high season, but it was fine in mid-March. Comfortable room, decent evening meal, excellent breakfast.
