Nice onsen hotel but expensive.
Beautiful onsen hotel. The only problem was their name says they are in Oijo but the are actually 50 kilometers away and the taxi ride wa 10,000 yen. You need to take a local train to Hiji and a taxi from there for 2000 yen.

夜、9時50分着で大分空港に着き、10時には部屋にいました。 素晴らしいロケーション。一人旅には本当に心強い、過不足のないありがたいホテルです。 10時には入口が自動施錠されるとのことでしたが、 ギリギリすべりこんで、チェックインを手伝っていただき、ホッとしました。 翌朝、朝食もおいしくいただき、談話室は ひとりだけでしたが、天気もよくて贅沢な気持ちになれました。 初めての大分の食事で「名物とり天、ぼんずジュレかけ」が出てうれしかった。 夜は無人となるそうで、チェックアウトも誰も会いませんでしたが、 心のこもった朝食をいただけて、 ありがたいロケーションで、清潔で静かで、満足です。

The area around the hotel has built up afoind the interchange so s good vsriety if shops and restaurants around the hotel. The rooms were a bit small for two but workable. Lots of amenities such as breakfast included (excellent btw) a happy hour at 8 with non and alcoholic beverages until 8 Pm. The hotel has s large onsen style bath which is excellent. Hotel staff are super nice and helpful, calling us cabs as needed"
