"We booked a last minute break, the room we were assigned was on the second floor with a side sea view. Also overlooking the rear beach car park. The room was quite dated, with a fusty smell. This could be overcome by opening one of 3 windows. The window frames were flaking and 1 pane was broken. The shower was good with lots of hot water. The conditioner bottle in the shower was sadly empty. Breakfast was a little old fashioned but quite good quality. The cooked breakfast and the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were excellent. The newly refurbished mariners arms is still finding its feet. A great location but needs better service. You have to order drinks and food at the bar. Car park signage quite confusing if you have never been before, this could be improved on a welcome message. Not obvious if you have to pay £10 as hotel guests."
