we had the spacious and very beautiful lux room, which has a kitchenette, a dining table and chairs, and upholstered seating like a living room. AND the most comfortable bed ~ everything was perfect. the front desk staff is outstanding ~ they were so generous and accommodating with information and anything else we needed. breakfast staff is really welcoming and friendly; it was a pleasure to see their smiling faces each morning. i checked out over 50 properties online; choosing which one was difficult among so many excellent options, but i am delighted we ended up at hotel fabian for our 10-day stay in helsinki.

Nice clean hotel and friendly staff. Complimentary continental breakfast. No sauna which I was surprised about seeing how there is one in nearly every house in Finland. 5min walk to the esplanade and waterfront and closest tram stop. Would stay here again. Only issue, I couldn’t pair the TV with my phone to access my own Netflix.

There were many niggles with the bedroom that should not have been there. Some were immediately cleared others required work around as maintenance was not available during the 3 nights of our stay. It is a boutique hotel with no kitchen to speak of. Breakfast is plentiful,hot food is limited to what can be prepared before you. e.g. croissants, crepes and pains au chocolat from frozen put into the oven alongside the buffet You are required to reserve a 45 minute slot for your party to have breakfast from the buffet.

Hotel Fabian is less than 10 minutes walk to the Helsinki Esplanade and downtown. A safe and quiet neighbourhood. Room is good size, clean and the bathroom is big and clean. Bed is comfortably and linens clean and fresh. Overall an excellent choice

My travelling companion and I rate this hotel very high and recommend it without hesitation. I would consider this as a boutique hotel yet one that was very reasonably priced. This was the best hotel I stayed at on my three week, 4-country Scandinavian vacation. The rooms were modern, very veal and very spacious. The entire hotel had a very nice personal and “homey” feel to it. Best of all was the staff, the front desk staff in particular. Emmi, Mats and Julia simply could not have been more kind, friendly, gracious or helpful. Nothing was a bother and they all went above and beyond. For example, one day we had an early morning departure for an all-day excursion. I only mentioned this in passing and yet without any prompting at all, Emmi asked if I would perhaps enjoy an early morning coffee and “take-away” breakfast or have a singular early sitting for breakfast. All this so we would not miss out on a breakfast that was provided with our rooms. Not many front desk staff personnel I’ve encountered have been that proactive or anticipate that well and I travel a lot! Well done Hotel Fabian! It is not surprising you are a multiple-time Trip Advisor Award winner. Thanks very much for such a wonderful stay!
