Excellent location, this Hotel has been in this location for over 60 years as I was here in 1965!!! Even at 80 yrs, you can walk to most that is Halifax. This OLD place is looking great & still providing an great place to stay

I had a wonderful stay here. When we arrived we got a complimentary room upgrade, which made my day! The room was clean and areas around for shopping and eating were endless. The covered parking garage attached to the hotel is an asset when staying downtown Halifax.

We enjoyed our stay at the Lord Nelson Hotel. The front desk staff are unfortunately not very friendly. They proceed with the check in and check out process in a rather robotic manner, without smiles or conversation. I would suggest front desk training program with an emphasis on representing the hotel in a positive way considering they are the first point of contact for guests.
