We booked a family suite for three adults and a toddler for three nights. Room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Indoor pool was great. We didn’t have a chance to use the outdoor pool. There was construction taking place next door which was a great distraction for our toddler who loves trucks and excavators. The restaurant (owned separately from the hotel) was a little disappointing. They need to understand how to deal with kids! Adult meals were served and our 2.5 year old had to wait another 10 minutes to get his kids meal. It arrived piping hot so had to wait another 5 minutes for it to cool down. My suggestion, especially if you’re travelling with kids is to pick up food before you get there!

The whole property is depressing and dated. Seems to cater to cheap bus tour travellers. The new breakfast included offering is a joke. Powdered eggs with falafel balls and cheap bread products. Room hvac system was noisy and rattled all night. It’s better than sleeping outside on the lawn but really expensive for the disappointment served up. I’d never stay here again or recommend HFX

An old hotel in need of an upgrade. There is a speedway next door so if you're there on a weekend you will hear the loud races until 10-11pm.

My 10 year old granddaughters and I left Minnesota, USA at 8 a.m. on August 4th. Our flight to Toronto was just great! However, our flight from Toronto to Halifax kept having mechanical problems. We sat on the plane, we changed planes and sat some more! It was about 10:00 p.m. when we finally left Toronto! We were exhausted! I had to cancel the Air BNB I had reserved due to the long drive to get to it. The man seated in front of me on the plane turned around and said, "I don't mean to be eavesdropping, but I heard you say you wanted to find a hotel close to the airport when we get in. I would recommend HFX Airport Hotel. It's close, has a shuttle and is reasonably priced." I was so thankful for that man! (He might have been an angel!) I took his advice, called and made the reservation and got to the hotel at 1 a.m.! The gentleman at the desk was very kind to us. I was very thankful for the shuttle and used it to return to the airport in the a.m. to pick up a rental car. I can't say enough good about that hotel!
