We have stayed at a number of different hotels in the Gainesville area while visiting my daughter (a student at UF), but this was the first time staying at Holiday Inn Express and Suites by 75. The room was impeccably clean, check-in was seamless, and it is next to a large shopping center, so if I had needed anything, I could walk over to get it. (This is also walkable to a number of student apartments, including our daughters.) This Holiday Inn Express is paired with a Staybridge Suites, and one point of confusion is that there are two lobby areas, and two continental breakfast areas. One of those continental breakfast areas (the one closest to my room) had a fruit bar with a variety of different fruits, and also a bar with add-ons for the savory breakfast offerings (like eggs) that had guacamole, chopped tomaties, cheese and additional toppings; however, the breakfast area closer to the Holiday Inn Express lobby did not appear to have those offerings (I checked on my way out), so you might have to look around to find the "fancy" breakfast. Anyway, I will definitely be staying here again.

My only complaint was the lady in charge of breakfast. She was very rude with customer, screaming about finishing service and closing 5 minutes before time was up for breakfast and closed the doors in customers faces. Her attitude and facial expressions indicated a nasty demeanor and she startled us with how loud she was. The rest of our stay was excellent.

Our king room was bigger than I expected. Bed was very comfortable & the pillows were good too. A lot of hotels I’ve stayed at have bad sheets but I was very pleased with the sheets here & they even fit the bed good. Breakfast was ok. Typical complimentary hotel breakfast. We will be staying here again next month since I have another appt. at Shands hospital not far down the road from the hotel.
