Diamond Head Beach resort is a fantastic place to stay on Fort Myers Beach. Friendly staff. Hotel has direct beach access as well as two hot tubs and a pool. Rooms are clean and the one bedroom suites are wonderful! Spacious suites with a small kitchen. The one I stayed in had a small refrigerator, microwave, dishwasher, kitchen, sink, and area to use for food prep. This room was spacious and clean. Request an additional towels to be brought to my room Request a additional towels to be brought to my room and the staff who delivered the towels were very friendly The only downfall is the drinks at the bar are basically slushies. I was expecting to get an awesome creamy piña colada but instead it was just a basically a coconut pineapple slushy with some alcohol. Another benefit is the hotel now offers two beach chairs and an umbrella each day for their guest to use on the beach, highly recommend.

Excellent property, spacious rooms and beautiful views. Do NOT expect hospitality from the staff though. Very discourteous and seemed bothered by any communication. They also charge extra for included amentities if you book through a third party. I would stay here again, but lack of hospitality definitely left a bad taste.

Access to the beach was fantastic. Walk right to the beach. Pool was clean and there were plenty of lounge chairs. Staff was excellent.

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The rooms were a great size, and were stocked with everything we needed. The shampoo and conditioner were good quality. The beds were a little hard. There were only 2 elevators in service and they were very slow, so there were often people waiting for a few minutes. The biggest problem was today (Monday), starting around 9:30am, there was a construction crew ripping the railings completely off the front balcony as people were swimming. It was incredibly loud, but more importantly, it was dangerous. Screws and pieces were falling all over the roof, a ladder at one point almost fell off the 5th or 6th floor and was barely caught. Some of the people near us in the pool picked up a big piece of metal that had fallen into the pool from very high. No one felt very safe. Most people were crowded in one end of the pool while this was happening, and we eventually decided to leave even though it was our last day. I understand that renovations need to be done at some point, but June 2 as school is letting out and people are beginning summer vacations seems like a strange time to choose.

This was a quick weekend trip. The place was amazing with ocean front/view. The staff was always friendly and willing to help anyway they could. Two amazing restaurants on site along with a coffee/breakfast food truck. Also had live bands in the bar on the beach. We plan on coming back and exploring more of the area
