Are you researching the best way to spend an adventurous few days in South Iceland? Through Travelocity's reservation page, you can select from a limited number of places to catch some sleep in Fludir. 2 hotels listed on Travelocity are within a 6-mile (10-kilometer) distance.
The Viking Villa is the closest to the middle of Fludir and the only Travelocity-listed hotel within a short drive.
2 miles (3 kilometers) from the city center of Fludir, you can find the Icelandair Hotel Fludir. Alternatively, the Fosshotel Hekla can be found approximately 7 miles (12 kilometers) away. Other options include the Efsti-Dalur II and the Hotel Gullfoss.
50 miles (77 kilometers) from Fludir, you can reach Heimaey, which is where you can enjoy Eldfell Volcano and Heimaklettur. If you spend a night or two in Heimaey, be sure to check out the Aska Hostel and Hotel Vestmannaeyjar. For another option, stay in Skogar, 50 miles (81 kilometers) southeast of Fludir, where you can choose from the Hotel Edda Skogar and Hotel Skogafoss. Should you choose to stay in Skogar, set aside some time to check out the Skogafoss and Solheimajokull.

The shower had a door, which we appreciated - since many of the other places we stayed would only have a small glass panel and it was very hard to not get the bathroom soaked! The breakfast had everything you need to start your day and they have a restaurant on site that has a decent selection. Found the location convenient for where we were the day before and heading the next day. *Note that you do have to walk outside a touch to get to your room."
