I have stayed at the David many times and loved the intimate atmosphere and wonderful hospitality. This was the first time since their renovation 5 years ago and I have to say they kept the best of the old charm and only made it better with the new layout and the addition of an elevator. On the Oltraarno, it makes it less noisy and gives a calming atmosphere in what can be an often crowded city with tourists. The evening gathering of patrons lets us meet our fellow guests over good wine and foulsom delicacies. An altogether wonderful way to experience Florence from an isle of calm.

Hotel David was excellent. Starting and ending with the staff - from the front desk to Marcella at the breakfast room, the staff were fantastic. Our Italian is not great, but they were understanding and spoke English well enough to accomplish all we needed. Breakfast was simple and effective with multiple protein options, fruit and pastries. Happy hour included a couple flatbreads that were quite good (and I have gluten allergies). The wines at happy hour I would describe as table wines. Our room was made up every day and impeccably clean and we looked closely. King bed and balcony were nice to haves and I wish we would have taken more advantage of there courtyard out front - traffic noise while outside, but plenty of trees and still nice. The staff also provided us with several dinner recommendations and all three were exceptional. The staff make the difference at Hotel David. Thanks much Hotel David team!

This hotel is a gem located just far enough away from the crazy pace of the center city, yet not too far to be walkable. With a public transit stop right in front of the hotel, it is very easy to go to main attractions. Cleanliness and character are excellent. Quality of included breakfast and social hour were fantastic. Service was responsive and friendly. Highly recommend!

Hotel David is truly a gem. It is a quaint, peaceful, and beautiful hotel. We had the most amazing view of Florence. They had breakfast and happy hours included which was super nice. The staff was so friendly, our room was super clean. It was perfect. We would definitely stay here again.

This hotel is great, they give free appetizers and drinks daily (6:30-8pm) and each client gets 3 drinks each daily. Staff is really nice, room 33 was excellent with great views.

Hotel David was on of our favorite hotels during our recent trip to Italy. The property is charming, clean, and the hotel staff are wonderful! We enjoyed breakfast every morning out on the terrace as well as a wonderful complimentary happy hour. It was a bit of a walk to the main area in Florence, but we enjoy walking when we are traveling so this was not a downside for us, but just a heads up if you want to stay right in the action. We enjoyed the quieter feel of the neighborhood as well. Lovely stay and would highly recommend as well as return for another visit!

Everything was extraordinary at Hotel David. Staff helped with some logistical items before we even arrived. Breakfast and Happy Hour were amazing and the food offered at HH could replace dinner. Great small hotel, staff very helpful nothing was too much trouble. Breakfast was included and the free happy hour was an unexpected bonus where you could mingle with the other guests or not as you liked. 20 min bus ride on C4 bus from train station very easy (€1.7)bargain Bus stop at station is right as you come out of station cross over pad taxi rank over a couple of tram lines and 30 meters on right is bus stop. At the other end the stop is right outside the hotel

We’ve traveled from Paris to Switzerland, to Florence, to Rome, to Venice and rovinj Croatia. This hotel was beautiful, free beers every day. From 630-8pm it’s happy hour which includes a huge assortment of food from cheese & crackers to pizza. Free beer and wine. AC works excellent, highly recommend this hotel and when I come back to Florence I will 100% be staying at this beautiful hotel. Staff were unbelievably great, from the front desk to the hard working lady doing the free breakfast service which was excellent aswell.

The room was clean and spacious. We enjoyed the breakfast and the happy hour that were included several times. The front desk people were extremely helpful. One helped me find a very unique souvenir for my daughter. It was a 25 minute walk to where most of the action was in Florence, but we really enjoyed the walking.
