We had a first floor room 103, which had a massive picture when overlooking the sidewalk. So unless you closed the drapes, everyone walking by can almost join you, except for the glass between. Rooms were clean, nice, remodeled. Bathroom has a shower but being your own supplies as soap,,

We enjoyed our stay at Talbott Inn. The breakfast was amazing! The main complaint is that there was only one chair in the room, and that chair was not comfortable. We do not enjoy using the bed as a sitting place, and as there were two of us, only one had a chair. Staff was friendly and helpful, loved the old building.

An absolute score for Bourbon Fest

So pleasantly surprised by the Inn. Super easy check-in, very friendly front desk clerk, really cute, nicely decorated room, spacious bathroom, windows that opened to let in fresh air. Mattress was a little softer than I'm used to, but still super comfortable. The pillows are only polyester (I'm a real princess about pillows), and we were next to a stairwell, so could hear people coming in and out all night, but not loudly enough to disrupt our sleep. Amazing location walking distance from all the restaurants and bars downtown, and to Bourbon Fest. We talked all weekend about how lucky we were to be able to get a room here!

Room for improvement

It’s a very unique place with charm but there were food crumbs all over the floor in my room near the couch. I requested a box of tissues from the staff as the one in my room was empty and was told no. I came down to the breakfast room in the morning and seated myself as the sign advised; however, I sat for 40 minutes and was never greeted or served by the overwhelmed waitstaff. I made eye contact with the server and smiled but was ignored, maybe because I didn’t fit in the with the rest of the hotel guests which are overwhelmingly elderly.
