¡Oh, mucho que contarte! Cuando llegas, el exterior es una cabaña de troncos simple, ubicada en 4 acres directamente frente a los Tetons. Levante una silla en la cubierta, la vista es absolutamente fascinante. Los hermosos álamos temblones que rodean la cabaña crean un entorno pintoresco. El arroyo que corre detrás de la propiedad y baja a través del gran bosquecillo de árboles hace que sea exactamente lo que debería ser una cabaña en el oeste. Interior: decoración absolutamente encantadora que te hace sentir como en casa desde el momento en que entras. Corre a las 3 habitaciones para ver cuál quieres, cada una tiene su propio estilo. 2 baños completos en el nivel principal. Me encanta la simplicidad del lugar: si quieres granito y acero, ¡esto no es para ti! Cuero, troncos, tapices y una vista desde cualquier espacio. La acogedora sala de estar con una estufa de porcelana (propano) es como una manta instantánea. El plano de planta abierto te permite trabajar en la cocina de la cocina mientras eres parte de los que están en el comedor o en la sala de estar. Múltiples lugares para sentarse, visitar, leer, trabajar (?) o simplemente disfrutar.
Hay un sótano con 3 camas individuales y un baño y medio, este es el lugar sin terminar (realmente maltratado) ya que todavía no lo he conseguido. Es fresco en el verano y es un gran lugar para que los niños pasen el rato, con una mesa de ping pong. Lavadora y secadora / tendedero también están disponibles para su uso en la planta baja.
Entonces, ¿qué hace que este lugar sea especial? Creo que la sensación de comodidad en el momento en que entras. Con esas montañas que se ciernen sobre ti, acércate y ten tu propio pedazo de paraíso.

Views!

Really quaint cabin with a beautiful setting and magical view. Top floor was great. Lower level is a little dingy as the kids didn’t want to go downstairs but the main floor was perfect! Great spot!

Amazing Location

The house, the view and the host were absolutely stunning. Waking up and having coffee on deck looking at the Tetons was priceless. Yoga on the deck was something out of a fairy tail. The drive to the Tetons Park through Swan Valley was amazing. Not staying in the busy Jackson Wyoming area was priceless. Allowing our dog to stay was a huge help. The host was so nice it’s hard to describe. I felt like the host was family. Unbelievable how nice everything was!!!

The perfect getaway

The property is beautiful, it was exactly what we were looking for, close to town but far enough to get the tranquility we were looking for. The cabin is straight out of a book and was so comfortable for myself, partner and the doggos! We loved it!

Amazing home with incredible views

The Dancing Bear cabin was an amazing place just a short jaunt from downtown Driggs. A great base camp for hiking with incredible views of the Tetons. Janet was extremely accommodating and we had everything needed to cook up nice meals with friends and enjoy the sunsets after a day in the woods. The house had plenty of space for the 4 of us to spread out and relax, although we spent most of our time enjoying the outdoor patios! Super fun stay, we’ll definitely be back!!

A Perfect base of operations for family exploration of the west side of the Tetons!

We had a family gathering, 3 couples and a dog, and the Dancing Bear was the perfect place for us to stay for 10 days. The home has everything you need for dining, lodging and relaxing. Porches on the east side and west side allowed the viewing of sunrises and sunsets. The Tetons are visible from all of the windows on the east side. Beautiful living area with unique hearth and mantle. Dining room table easily handled our group for meals, card and bord games. Ping pong table in the basement was a bonus. The kitchen was very well equiped and a large grill on the back deck made grilling very convenient. We loved the rustic appointments in the house and we lacked nothing for our comfort and enjoyment. A great base from which to explore the Targhee National Forest, backside of the Tetons, Yellowstone, Grand Teton National Park, Jackson, Driggs, and Alta. Fabulous hiking opportunities just miles from the Dancing Bear. All in all, a wonderful stay that exceeded our expectations!

Beautiful property close to the tetons and Yellowstone

Pet friendly, lots of dogs around. Owner's daughter stayed in dwelling on the property and was very helpful when questions came up. View was dreamy with lots of space on the property to explore including a meadow and creek. House was very clean and well cared for. Very close proximity to fantastic hikes and town center with great grocery store. Highly recommend this property for families wanting some quiet relaxation.

Excellent for Outdoors Lovers

We loved the property, along with Janet and Josie who ensured that we were happily ensconced in this cozy, wonderful home near Teton Canyon and Grand Targhee. Perfect place for those who like to play outside in the winter! Great access to alpine, nordic and backcountry skiing. A perfect place to gather together after the day and enjoy dinner around the table and then retire to the living room where the stove kept us all warm. Fun artwork throughout the house. The beds were excellent. Ping-pong table in the basement is a big bonus!

We did a moms hiking trip with 6 moms. The house had plenty of space for everyone. A nice large yard. Plenty of extra blankets and extras. We would definitely stay here again!

Great place!! Greater view!

Great place to stay! We ventured out to Grand Teton national park and Jackson hole everyday. Awesome drive over the mountain to get there. Small town of Driggs had all we needed! The house was great! There was 9 of us and it was perfect. The kids had the basement and the 3 rooms upstairs worked out perfect for the adults! I’d definitely stay again! Thanks Janet!

Breathtaking Views!

Views, views, views....coffee, sunrise and and mountains on the front porch and wine and sunsets on the back porch. Cabin is beautifully decorated with all the amenities that you would need including board games and trail maps. Driggs is a short drive away and includes some good restaurants and the main grocery store (note it is not open on Sunday so we drove to Victor to purchase some supplies for the day). Close to some excellent hiking trails. We took some day trips to Jackson Hole and the Grand Tetons (about an hour drive). Cabin was clean, comfortable, spacious and Janet's communication with us was excellent. Would love to stay again!

Loved it!

Stayed in this beautifully decorated home with our (4) 20-23 yr old children. Janet was an excellent host, very responsive and helpful. House was comfortable with nice togetherness spots but lots of room for everyone to have own spot when needed. Enjoyed body floating on the Big Eddy, Phelps Lake Jumping Rock and Hidden Falls hike in the Tetons. The 1 hr ride to the Tetons is long but beautiful also as much of the drive is through the mountains. Would recommend to others for certain!

Everything detailed in description was accurate. Place was beautiful and convenient for our needs. We stayed here while visiting Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. I can't wait to get back to the area and stay here again. Oh, and the view....amazing!

Peaceful respite

This house is in a beautiful bucolic setting. It was a place for my weary travelers to rest their heads after long days in Yellowstone and grand Teton. A bit of a drive over the pass into GT but well worth it when you can have coffee from the front porch while watching the sunrise over Grand Teton and sit on the back porch at night and view the stars. The house was the perfect size for my family and my sister’s family of mostly grown kids. The ping pong table in the basement was an added bonus. Driggs is an adorable town with a perfect grocery store where I stumbled upon the local coffee roaster and got some delicious beans.. Everyone is so friendly and helpful This was a most enjoyable and relaxing stay.

Amazing place

This property fit the bill and then some! The whole family enjoyed the cabin. It is close enough to town for grocery runs but isolated enough to enjoy the quiet. And the views! Oh my goodness! Absolutely breathtaking! We enjoyed our trips to Yellowstone and Grand Teton parks as well as enjoyed the national forests nearby. You can't go wrong in choosing this place! Thank you Janet for opening your home to us!
