"Excellent and clean room, but late check-in typical as in many reviews. Came in about 9pm , reception should be still open 1hr , but was closed. Check-in machine was typically broken...wasted time for calling to get access code etc"

"Booked late as another local hotel had let us down. Arrived to find an open door and bar open with no staff. Money and laptop laying about but nobody around. No answer from the phone. They took our money but provided no room. Legal actions to follow. We ended up sleeping in the cars!"

"This is a great property with a lot of history. Everything was great, especially the restaurant. Great food at reasonable prices. My only complaint is that noise really echoes & cuts right through the doors. Every single time someone comes or goes, you definitely know it."
