Guest Access:
Self check-in with a door code — arrive on your own schedule. Your stay includes full access to the Grand Lodge's indoor/outdoor heated pool, hot tub, fitness center, and steam room, plus base-area ski and bike storage with our partner Butte & Co. Park free in the on-site lot, which has EV charging.
The Neighborhood:
You're at the base of Mt. Crested Butte, a 3-minute walk from the lifts and the base-area shops and restaurants, with the free town shuttle next door. Historic downtown Crested Butte — Elk Avenue's galleries, breweries, and dining — is 6 minutes away (and bikeable on the path if you don't mind the hills). Summer brings some of Colorado's best hiking and mountain biking, with trailheads 5–25 minutes out.
Getting Around:
Most guests bring a car — there's a free on-site lot with EV charging. The free town shuttle stops right next door and runs to downtown Crested Butte about every 15 minutes, and the lifts are a 3-minute walk. Downtown is also bikeable on the path if you don't mind a few hills.
Other Things to Note:
• Colorado STR License #304468.
• Pet friendly — up to two dogs welcome, with a $50 flat pet fee per stay.
• No air conditioning — at 9,000+ ft the nights are cool and windows open to fresh mountain air.
• Housekeeping is Airbnb-style, not daily hotel service. If you'd like a mid-stay turnover, give us 24 hours' notice to coordinate with the cleaner; there's a $100 charge for it.
• The Grand Lodge is a building of individually owned condos built in 1999 — please be considerate of neighbors.
Interaction with Guests:
There's no front desk at the Grand Lodge, but we're quick to respond by message and run a virtual concierge with deep local knowledge — trail picks, dinner reservations, lift questions, anything. You'll get check-in details and a digital guidebook before arrival, and we're a text away during your stay.
