We had a room just over the main entry canopy---there was very little airflow since the windows were covered by roof and at night the exterior light fixture was pointed right at window (and our bed at eye level) so needed to close curtains over the open window panel. Also, noise of people at door main exterior door was issue in morning. I know someone needs to stay in that room, but we should have had option not to stay there or make choice as to if it would be acceptable. We have stayed at Grand lodge in past with perfectly acceptable rooms. This one was a bummer.

Comfortable Great location Easy access to Transit

Our stay was pleasant and comfortable. I wish there were blankets in the closet. It was getting a bit chilly at night but not cold enough for heat. My son said the pool and hot tub was great. It was nice having a dishwasher, refrigerator, and built in stove burner. Though we didn’t use anything except the refrigerator since we were only there one night. It would’ve also been nice to have a recycling blue can in the room. Many hotels are now doing that. The other big plus was that the transit center was literally next-door.

Amazing place to stay right on the mountain. Clean, friendly staff, really nice pool and hot tub. The only bummer is there was no air conditioning in the rooms. After a hot day playing in the mountains it was hard to cool down. There is only one window that opens in the king quite. Sleeping was very hot.

Tired Property

Unit is a little tired. In need of a new mattress. It was very uncomfortable. The wallpaper in the bathroom is also coming off the walls. Overall the room was clean and the building was well maintained. The location is nice with the option to use the shuttle services to get around.

Bummer.

I’ve stayed at The Grand Lodge many times and always with our dog to run the mountains. Understandably, dog-friendly rooms are sometimes less desirable but this trip was less than less desirable and it was a huge bummer. Our room was located across the hallway from the employee room and it was (also understandably as people need to do their job) really loud and my dog was completely freaked/stressed out. The room was also kind of clean — some hair in the shower which just freaks me out — and the carpet was ripped and pulled up at the entrance. Again, I get that I am traveling with my dog our room won’t be the nicest room, but I still paid a large amount of money to stay two nights and don’t really feel like I should sacrifice total comfort to have her there. Additionally, when I made the reservation on the app it said parking was covered but when I checked in they told me that because I booked through a third-party, parking was not covered. Just a bummer of a stay after being a big Grand Lodge fan. Wouldn’t stay again if I knew I was staying in room 109.

Comfortable stay

Great stay, two ceiling fans to circulate air. And an extra plug in fan. Comfortable bed, sofa bed is decent. Big space. Kitchen includes fridge, microwave, coffee maker, sink and one stove. Bathroom clean. Friendly staff, would stay again!

The property did not disclose thar it was 2 normal beds. One bed was a murphy bed. The property did not disclose that it did not have air conditioning. There is a ceiling fan which was loaded with thick dust and dirt which we had to clean ourselves. Beds were not that comfortable due to hot weather.
