Cottonwood Porch! Backyard HotTub & Firepit Lounge
Summary:
Welcome to Cottonwood Porch! Hardwood floors, a sunlit dining bay, and space in every room give this renovated Westside two-story an easy, lived-in warmth, with three bedrooms tucked upstairs on their own quiet floor. When the sun drops behind the foothills, two cedar pergolas light up out back and the night begins.
🔥 Hot tub, gas fire pit, outdoor TV, grill, and retro arcade
🏡 A mile to Old Colorado City, minutes to Garden of the Gods
🌳 Big fenced lawn and a covered porch set for six
The Space:
A renovated two-story on the Westside of Colorado Springs, a mile from Old Colorado City in one direction and downtown in the other. Hardwood floors, tall windows, and a whole-home speaker system run through the main level, three bedrooms and two full baths sit upstairs on their own floor, and the backyard carries the stay outdoors with a hot tub, a gas fire pit, and a covered porch built for long evenings.
🛋️ LIVING ROOM
The living room opens straight off the dining area, with a large sectional facing a large wall-mounted Smart TV and soundbar beneath a geometric board-and-batten accent wall. A whole-home speaker system runs through the house, so the playlist follows you from room to room. Recessed lighting and two tall windows keep the room bright by day, and the open layout means whoever is cooking is never cut off from the conversation. Please note the fireplace is decorative only and not available for guest use. A second sitting room off the front entrance to break away for a bit is ready with a sofa and a leather armchair, and is the spot for a slow morning coffee or a night of reading when the main room is spoken for.
🍳 KITCHEN & DINING
The fully stocked kitchen comes with everything needed to cook a full meal, along with a complimentary coffee station with pods and a complimentary spice rack. Meals happen in the dining bay just off the living room, where a round wood pedestal table seats six in upholstered chairs beneath a globe pendant, with three windows wrapping the table in light.
🛏️ BEDROOMS
All three bedrooms sit on the upper level.
Bedroom 1 (Upper Level): King bed in a black metal canopy frame, wall-mounted Smart TV, private en-suite bathroom, and a walk-in closet finished like a dressing room with built-in shelving, a granite-topped island dresser, and a cushioned window seat
Bedroom 2 (Upper Level): King bed with an upholstered headboard, wall-mounted Smart TV, two windows, and a closet with built-in shelving
Bedroom 3 (Upper Level): Queen bed with an upholstered headboard, wall-mounted Smart TV, and a closet
🛁 BATHROOMS
Full Bathroom 1 (Upper Level En-Suite, Bedroom 1): Double vanity with a white quartz top and matte black faucets beneath oval mirrors, a walk-in shower in white subway tile with a rainfall head, handheld sprayer, and built-in bench, a black textured accent wall, and a black-and-white patterned tile floor under a beadboard ceiling
Full Bathroom 2 (Upper Level, Shared): Relaxing soaking tub with a shower and white subway tile surround, gray vanity with brushed nickel fixtures.
Both bathrooms are stocked with plush towels and essential toiletries.
👶 KID-FRIENDLY
Pack-n-play and high chair available. The whole yard is fenced, the lawn has room to run, and a corn hole set is ready to be set up on the grass. All three bedrooms share one upper floor, so little ones are never far from the adults at bedtime.
🧺 LAUNDRY
In-unit washer and dryer in a dedicated laundry room, so a longer stay never means a trip out for clean clothes.
🌳 OUTDOOR SPACE
The covered back porch runs the width of the house and works as a second living room: an outdoor dining table for six, a wall-mounted outdoor TV, a gas grill, and a full-size retro arcade game against the wall. Paver paths lead across the lawn, where a corn hole set is ready to go, to two cedar pergolas at the back of the yard. One shades a lounge with a wicker sectional, a concrete coffee table, and a stone gas fire pit ringed by Colorado-flag Adirondack chairs. The other is next to the private hot tub, with a bar counter and stools beside it. Landscape lighting, a raised garden bed, and a wood privacy fence round out the yard.
🅿️ PARKING
Free on-street parking is available directly in front of the home and along the block. There is no driveway or garage parking for guests.
Guest Access:
🏡 Property Access: You’ll have full access to the entire home: all three bedrooms and both full bathrooms on the upper level, the main level living room, sitting room, kitchen, dining area, and laundry room, and the fenced backyard with the covered porch, hot tub, fire pit lounge, and lawn. The guest house at the rear of the property is a separate residence with its own alley entrance and is not included with this stay. The shed off the backyard is also not available for guest use and will remain locked.
🔐 Check-In: Your unique entry code will appear in your digital guidebook on the morning of your arrival.
📱 Digital Guest Guidebook: Includes your unique door lock code, check-in & check-out times, how-to guides for house amenities, and local recommendations.
The Neighborhood:
🏘️ This property sits on the Westside of Colorado Springs, a neighborhood of tree-lined blocks and renovated older homes between downtown and Old Colorado City. It is close enough to walk to dinner in either direction and far enough that the street goes quiet at night, with the foothills filling the view to the west.
🍽️ Old Colorado City is about a mile west, a four minute drive or a twenty minute walk, with a nineteenth century main street of independent restaurants, coffee shops, breweries, and galleries, and a Saturday farmers market at Bancroft Park through the summer. Downtown is about a mile and a half east, where the restaurant scene along Tejon Street runs from longtime neighborhood spots to rooftop patios.
🏛️ The United States Olympic and Paralympic Museum, the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center, and the Pioneers Museum are all within about a mile and a half. Monument Valley Park, just over a mile northeast, has paved paths along the creek, a playground, pickleball courts, and a summer pool.
⛰️ The Front Range begins a few minutes west. Red Rock Canyon Open Space is about a seven minute drive, Garden of the Gods roughly ten, and Manitou Springs about fifteen, where the Pikes Peak Cog Railway, the Manitou Incline, and the mineral springs all sit within a few blocks of one another.
🔥 Back at this property, the day ends in the yard: a soak in the hot tub, a round of cornhole, and a fire in the pit under the pergola while dinner comes off the grill on the covered porch.
Getting Around:
🚗 By Car: Free on-street parking is available directly in front of the home and along the block. Old Colorado City is about four minutes away, downtown roughly five, Garden of the Gods about ten, Manitou Springs around fifteen, and the Colorado Springs Airport about twenty five. I-25 is a short drive east for trips north to Denver or south toward Pueblo.
🚶 On Foot: Old Colorado City is about a twenty minute walk west along Colorado Avenue, and downtown Colorado Springs about twenty five to the east. Sidewalks run throughout the neighborhood, and the blocks in both directions are flat and easy.
🚴 By Bike: The Westside is a comfortable ride, with the Midland Trail a few blocks south connecting toward Old Colorado City and Manitou Springs, and the city's creekside trail network linking to downtown. Bikes are not provided, though rentals are available nearby.
🚌 Public Transit: Mountain Metro operates bus service along nearby Colorado Avenue with connections into the downtown transit center. Service is most useful on weekdays, so plan ahead for evenings and weekends.
🚖 Rideshare: Uber and Lyft both serve the area reliably, with short wait times this close to downtown.
