Would not recommend this hotel, whilst the location is convenient if travelling via train and for the cathedral, the hotel is very dated! So dated, there is no wifi and even photo data seems to have a black spot there. The hallways smelt of smoke. The photos of the property certainly seem like they are from a distant past.

Clean cool and close to station

Hotel was a great location and was air conditioned. You could walk from train station. They did not offer early check in.

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at Lindner. The hotel has an excellent location, close enough to the cathedral without the noise. I strongly recommend the hotel. The breakfast was also very good with a different variety of options.

We liked the spacious room and walkable location. Earlier check-in and later check-out was possible and highly appreciated! Breakfast could be better, we missed vegetables and better fruit options. On the positive note, you could pack a snack with you and the breakfast staff was super nice. The hotel could use an update of furniture - in rooms as well as in the restaurant. It is quite old. Also it says that rooms with balcony have view over the old town, but in reality there is a huge construction site in front of the hotel so there is no view. all in all good.

Terrible hotel. I was emailed days before arri requesting if I would cancel housekeeping. I never heard of a hotel doing this. I checked in and the lobby not as depicted in website. I also got a different room than what I reserved. I went back to reception after seeing the room, only to be told all the rooms were the same except for bed size. The room had old decor and a very old carpet. NOT as depicted. As I couldn't call the front desk I had to go to the lobby again to request additional towels, only to be told that they don't have washcloths. How do you shower with liquid soap without a washcloth? So I had to go out to buy one. I ask for basic directions and orientatio to the area , but everything was so sketchy that I had to rely on my tourist map and my cell phones navigating app. The bed was very uncomfortable... I tossed and turned all night and woke up with body aches. Breakfast was mediocre at best and limited. When I got back that evening housekeeping had come into my room, despite my cancelling housekeeping at the front desk that morning . For some reason housekeeping removed ALL the towels in the room. They made the bed sloppily and emptied the waste basket. I had drank a cup of tea the night before and housekeeping did not touch the cup. Outrageous. I had to go to the front desk again and they could not explain why housekeeping removed all the towels from my room. They simply handed me towels they keep in a room behind the desk. Terrible place.
