When we arrived on the Sunday the staff couldn't be less helpful. I am a member at IHG and the first time we stayed here the receptionist made you feel very welcome but not this time. Different receptionist I should add. We arrived before check-in but were told no rooms were available which wasn't a problem and we were told point blank nothing until 2pm. Members don't get early check-in apparently, only 'Elite members'. When we returned we were issued our room which was fine except for only being able to access half a dozen channels on the tv. A member of staff offered to sort this out for us and came up to our room scanned a few channels on the remote and said sorry I can't help it's locked??? They did offer to change our room but we didn't want to wait around until 2pm the next day. When we asked if someone could sort out the remote the next morning we were told there was no-one onsite and that we had picked the worst week to book??? On the plus side the cleaning staff were great and the 2 guys on duty on Monday morning were much better and we couldn't fault them. We have been offered a discount which is very good of them but sadly we won't stay here again

Well placed hotel. Less than 10 minute walk to bars, restaurants, shops etc. Plenty of parking spaces. Pleasing to the eye reception area with nice comfy seating on arrival. Small issue on checking in but the lovely Emma sorted it all out for us with the minimum of fuss. All staff were extremely friendly and always had a smile for everyone they came into contact with. Good breakfast. Would recommend.
