We love old hotels in this one is at the top of the list. The staff was helpful and friendly, and the food in the restaurant was top notch.

The location is nice and the lobby is beautiful. You also have dining options inside the hotel, and the late night bar was packed. But, it wasn’t worth the hype in my opinion. We were on the manor side, and I have stayed in much nicer rooms before at more basic places. It probably had the roughest bed sheets I’ve ever felt at a hotel, the bathtub was beat up, and the bathroom overall was very small. Maybe the other side (more expensive side) is better - I don’t know. It wasn’t worth the money and I’d rather just stay in a Hilton or holiday inn tbh.

Beautiful Lobby but that’s about it

The Lobby is beautiful and the facade. The rooms were below subpar and do not match the vibe of the lobby. Room we stayed in left like a dorm, the finishes from the lobby are not felt throughout the hotel. Bathroom is in a serious need of a renovation, wouldn’t bathe in the tub if I was paid to do so. The night staff hospitality was also really poor, didn’t care, rude and if you ask me the valet guy wasn’t too fond of blacks. I wouldn’t stay here again

The pictures online do not do this property justice. I walked in and was floored how beautiful it really is. The staff are all amazing. The room was spacious, really clean, quiet and the bathroom was huge. Our room was a corner room with beautiful views. The Bridgeman Steakhouse food was delicious with a great staff. The in-room service breakfast was a great morning start for the weekend right on time. You must go to the second floor and take a look at the Silver Ballroom. I wish walls could talk. And do not forget they have an "extra special" guest that does not leave for those that can feel at home with ghosts. Ask the front desk about tours. This historic hotel has all the modern touches like USB charging, Keurigs, mini fridge, heated pool, spacious showers, makeup lighted mirrors, bathroom night light and blackout shades. Check in and check out were a breeze with my striaght shift Jeep valeted with no issues.
