"Stayed 12th-14th june. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean etc. Only one downfall .... I booked a room and they charged me to park in the carpark 😂 , but when you go outside and look at the signs. It says free from Friday to Sunday. But otherwise excellent. "I needed to be in Basingstoke for work so booked The Red Lion. It has a free car park at the rear of the hotel. There is a bar at the front which I didn't use. My room (49) was spacious and clean and the bed was comfortable. The lady on reception and the breakfast staff are very friendly and helpful. ..."
