Older but good, could be cleaner and some noise

Nice spot, great view of mountains. Soft bed and pillow. Good hot water and ac. It is an older hotel but well looked after furniture-wise. We had a fireplace but it didn't work, maybe the main valve was shut off, we didn't bother asking, was just trying it out. We had a jetted tub and the jets etc looked very dirty/moldy. There is a train track that runs directly behind so prepare to be awakened by train whistles and a very large shaking noise at 6am etc. Pool was cold but outdoor hottub was nice.

Looks Better Online Than in Reality

We arrived late, only to find that one of the beds hadn’t been set up—despite booking and paying for six people. At the very least, we expected all sleeping arrangements to be ready upon arrival. The property itself was also disappointing. The photos online looked much nicer than the reality. The counters were dirty, and the entire place felt worn down and poorly maintained. Overall, not the experience we were expecting for the price paid.

We checked in and was given a room with 14 stairs to the bed in a loft. With the bathroom on the ground floor. They changed us to another room that had a very loud A/C unit. They moved us again to an acceptable room for one night. Then tried moving us back to the room with broken A/C unit. Saying a new A/C was installed. Which it was not. Stayed 2 nights and got out of there. The staff was not caring or apologetic about the problem. Plus the hotel was older and tired. And it’s next the train tracks and the trains run all night.

Pictures shown while reserving do not justify the actual experience. The room was ok. The views from the window of room are not that good. I used swimming pool and the water was very cold. Parking is very limited. Breakfast is paid, but Kitenete was good. Room was clean and we also had a fire alarm situation when we were checking out. Overall, consider it as a motel, and not a hotel. Paid approx 1300CAD for just 2 days and it was not worth it at all.

It was amazing the hotel was very nice it very clean and quite . Pool and hottub was also very clean . Not to many people using it so we had it all to ourselves. A hi end coffee machine in the lobby . The room was very clean and the price was really good . Webwould recommend this hotel anytime and we would stay there again.

The location was perfect for us, quiet and yet close to our destinations in Banff, Canmore is a beautiful city. Hotel personnel was very friendly, room was clean,we enjoyed the kind of private pool area. We loved the cappuccino dispenser machine.
