Fantastic stay with Patrick & Barbara! Space was very clean & modern - everything you would want when staying away from home. There was a small communication blip when checking in, but was so minor - the hosts are very lovely people & really go out of their way for guests for enjoy their stay. Would definitely return for those amazing coastal views!!!!

The perfect stay in Brookings

My wife and I stayed here for the first day of our honeymoon! The house was friendly and showed us everything. The views are amazing and everything was so clean! Good size for us and the bathroom was perfectly designed for couples! Next time we come to Brookings we will stay here!

Beautiful Inside and Out

We enjoyed our stay! Patrick was very welcoming and accommodating. The other guests were friendly too! The place was nice, clean and comfortable. The outside has beautiful views of the ocean and beach below.

Peaceful Hideaway

We were met with a warm and welcoming greeting by host Patrick. We stayed in the Ocean/Garden suite #1. Cute and cozy suite, with a full kitchen with so many provided extras(coffee,tea,hot chocolate,creamer,cereal,all cooking essentials, waters, juice). Beautiful bathroom, fully tiled w/double shower for 2, and a free standing tub--WOW. The flower garden was SO Beautiful, took a lot of pictures. Although it was socked in Fog our whole trip, the views were still Beautiful. Very Peaceful and relaxing Hideaway.

, honestly with a Loving Heart

We discovered there was no bedroom and thought that was different from the VRBO pictures. The floors were dirty (I tend to walk barefoot), as my feet were dirty. We quickly overlooked this and enjoyed the beautiful views from the back courtyard, sees a whale and some seals. We truly enjoyed it. Thank you for your wonderful hospitality. Peggy and Peggy

Barbara and Patrick have the most lovely venue. Every single possible little detail is thought of. Right down to a band aid needed after hiking. The pour over coffee was absolutely amazing. We were greeted like royalty when we pulled in. The comfy robes and slippers are perfect for waking up in. The bed was so comfy. We had zero needs or wants. The most perfect views with comfy lounging on the patio. Truly a perfect spot to stay. I will be back !!!!!

Patrick the owner was so easy to reach by email and text to give us the check in instruction.he met us within one minute when we arrived and gave us a tour of our room and of the guest library and guest relaxing area which is amazing . The room is perfect , and the snacks and coffee and cereal and juice in our room is very nice to have . The ocean views are stunningly amazing and Patrick is the perfect host .

Wonderful and serene!

Our family loved our stay at this sparkling clean spot with magical views! Check in was easy and Patrick was so friendly and helpful. Our room had everything that we needed. It was so nice to have a fridge with cold water, apple juice, and creamer for our coffee. Many nice extra touches like this, including tasty snacks, extra pillows, toiletries in the bathroom, etc. The property was beautiful and to be able to walk right over to gorgeous views of the ocean was amazing. The location was fabulous, close to restaurants in town, area beaches, and the Redwoods. Loved Barbara's book "Do Fishes Do Dishes?". We wished that we could have stayed longer!

Great Place to Watch the Sunset

Very helpful and attentive manager. Wanted to get in early and got immediate response and follow-up. Watched the sunset from a chair on the deck overlooking the ocean. Got lucky and saw the green flash. Double shower and bathtub was very nice.

Misleading photos

Felt like the photos of the property make it look much larger than it actually is. It’s pretty small. It was my fault for not understanding that the living space was shared between all five units, but it’s something to note. I don’t think 3 adults would comfortably fit into this unit, so it’s definitely not for longer stays than 1-2 nights. The third adult would be sleeping on the floor. Beautiful view on the patio, but access is limited. Construction was taking place on the property, with someone working on the metal gate, cement blocks and other debris in the garden area. Hosts were very kind, but beyond before arrival and as we checked in, my vrbo messages were ignored. We sent a message regarding the fan in the unit, which wasn’t answered until we were already checking out. The unit had plenty of amenities which were nice and good quality. The unit was very clean and tidy, with extra pillows and bedding. Again - these are just little things that threw me off upon our arrival and would’ve liked to know (for example: not being able to have the ceiling fan on anything other than high speed and it was loud). The courtyard is blocked off from units after sunset, so you’re kind of stuck in a 450 square foot space until later in the morning.
