Perfect hotel, a wonderful stay

We booked with some friends for the Easter bank hols for two nights. The hotel was fantastic, our room was perfect and very spacious the superior queen with sofa bed. Toiletries in the room were lovely, service by all staff was excellent and very helpful. We ate a light snack on arrival and breakfast and all was very very good. The hotel is beautiful and the scent in reception was so lovely I've ordered it for home. A perfect stay, looking forward to returning. Thankyou all

Great location, comfy stay only issues are the parking is slightly difficult to find as there are no sign posts on the street - also extremely tiny spaces and rather expensive at £27 a night. Breakfast was yummy but also rather expensive at £45 for 2 people for 1 night. The hotel also doesn’t accept cash, this is ridiculous and should be stated if you are a cashless hotel. Cookies on arrival were yum, rooms could be more sound proof. Would return again given all the small issues.

Don’t come here if you intend to swim because you need to book in advance and it is always fully booked, also they allow swimming class from external guess, so no chance for guess to swim. Most importantly , pool is super small

Good, but could be improved

The staff were amazing, especially at reception and the health club. The rooms were a bit of a let down after the stunning lobby area. There was mould in the shower, sofa bed was uncomfortable, lots of areas needed paint touching up and filling, shower leaked, surprised not to have bottled water in the room or a fridge.

Delicious cookie presented on check-in The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable In our room 223, the safe was on the floor in the wardrobe, so this may be an issue for some. Unfortunately the food in the Metropole bar left a bad taste. That said the staff were friendly and helpful and no issue with the food being returned
