This is the third time I have stayed at this place. I love the location and the active outdoor vibe. So close to Boulder but above the hustle and bustle. The access to trails is great.

Gorgeous and convenient

The location was gorgeous at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains. It would also be a perfect place to take a family for a summer vacation. They were abundant activities for the family to do.

I was very disappointed in everything Expedia and the A Lodge had to offer on a Saturday night. The Expedia app charged over $180, and google had Sunday night for $60 and Expedia had the same for $90. Don’t use Expedia for bargain shopping that’s for sure. The A. Lodge was a real let down in multiple ways. The tap water had such high mineral content the water filter we used for our baby’s formula didn’t taste good even after the filter. For 180 I would expect the heat to work not some little space heater, the bathroom fan on a separate circuit for sleeping, to have even one coffee filter, or even halfway decent coffee in the newly refurbished lobby of the historical building on site. Rustic and charming for camping, but camping shouldn’t cost that amount nor should it be that noisy, or generally uncomfortable. It’s an adventure alright, bring a sleeping bag and earplugs though

The brook and exterior are very nice and beautiful. The room needs major re-haul. The bed is okay but the bathroom is outdated. If the owner made a slight effort, it would go a long way. the soap dispenser in the shower was full of water not soap. They did not give 2 sets of body wash or shampoo/conditioner. The bathroom looks run down. The shower curtain hooks were old and look like they saw better days. The kitchenette could use a re-haul. The window shades are the cheap ones that break down. The hangers they provided were from Dollar Tree, plastic red ones. The owner needs to make an effort, sad, has potential due to exterior ambience. Would not repeat stay here.

Amazing staff!

Amazing property tucked away in the mountains only a short drive to Boulder. Hiking trails off of property and a stream runs through the property giving you amazing sounds to sleep to. Great service on both the check in and check out, quality staff.

This is glamping at best.

A-Lodge seems to have potential online, however the A-Lodge I pulled in to was very different than what was posted online. Online I saw a hotel approaching Boho Outdoorsy chic and what I found in person was a dusted off, old mountain motel. I arrived late at night and the lighting is quick difficult puling in late. I booked late so to be fair, check in details came late and were missed by me due to ZERO CELL PHONE service at the hotel. I actually don't mind this, however when you are trying to check in and did not receive the email in time, this was challenging. Finally, the room, while clean and simple in its decor, was not great overall. The carpet is super cheap and thin and is clearly over concrete or smoother hard floor. The door was well worn, beat up and I could have kicked the lock open with minimal effort which did not inspire a confident night's sleep. And lastly, the shower is junk. Absolute complete rubbish. It was made up of the cheapest of cheap inserts which was also very, very small and felt even more small due to a curtain (as opposed to a door). The cold handle was falling off on my shower and more or less fell off while I was adjusting it. I had to push it on security to the valve to even change the temperature. The in room heater was the icing on the cake. The heater is basic, loud and electric which made for a very dry room. I even got the morning bloody nose to prove it.

We were so excited to stay here, room with a hot tub !! But unfortunately when we showed up it was snowing, and we checked in, the staff was friendly, when we got to the room, the heater had no buttons on it, and then we went to turn on the fake fire place and that wasn't working either. We did stumble on a mini portable heater, that did work but come on to heat and entire room!!! My husband when to go get a staff member and he came down to look, and played with the fake fire place for a few minutes and said it would eventually turn on, and that we could use the portable heater, he also said it was having issues working for the people before us.(Hits the mini heater ) We stayed for maybe 20 min and couldn't get the room to get warm, it stayed around 50° inside, so we checked out, and since they told me I made my booking through Expedia they could not refund us, but after looking through their Google reviews they don't refund anyone. I wish I would have feC the reviews before booking with them. I would stay away from this place!!! Mold by the hot tub and a funky smell. We stayed about 10 min away at a Hyatt and it was great! READ the review!!! Save your time and money and stay somewhere else!
