"We stayed for 2 weeks and it was a great base for our holiday in the Alsace. The property was lovely, Claude the host was very friendly and attentive. It was very hot during our stay but the fans that were provided and advice on when and which windows to open during the day to help maintain a comfortable temperature was a real help.Even though the larger property has 3 rentals, they each have their own private outdoor space and we shared the bbq and games area (table tennis and darts) in the barn. There were no issues and the other guests were all easy going and friendly. There is plenty of parking and the railway station is handy for trips to other villages, Strasbourg, Sélestat and beyond. The property is to a very high specification and very spacious. We would highly recommend it.The Alsace is a great area for a holiday, so much to do and see. The Black Forest in Germany is an easy day trip. The village has a small but well stocked Carre Four supermarket on the edge of town, a bakery and butcher in the town. The local butcher was excellent and the town bakery’s (focused on daily bread, croissant etc) their other premises is beside the Carre Four supermarket and included patisserie. There are a number of restaurants, we ate at A Table which was great and a short walk away, plus we had lovely take-a-way pizzas from the take away Art Pizza. Two weeks wasn’t enough as there is son much to see and do.We would definitely go back to the Alsace."
