Lack of staff to check in, stood next to drunk pun users for 20 mins waiting. Terrible clubbing pub noises until 22:30. Mouldy smelly bathroom. Stained bed sheets. No free parking spaces. No bin. Window covered in spiders webs. Coat hooks hanging off the wall. TV remote not working.

I stayed at Minworth Club and Lodge and had a very disappointing experience. For three days, I repeatedly requested for my room to be cleaned, and every single time I was ignored. I woke up with bites all over my body and informed management that the room likely had bed bugs. I asked several times for the sheets to be changed and for the room to be properly cleaned. When I returned, the sheets had only been scrunched up and removed—no fresh bedding was put on, and the room itself hadn’t been cleaned at all. It looked as though someone had done half the job and simply walked away. This level of service is completely unacceptable, especially in a situation involving possible bed bugs. I was extremely disappointed and would not recommend staying here.

Stayed at The Minworth Lodge for two nights. Staff were lovley and very helpful you have to check in at the bar. Room was small but comfortable and clean. Bathroom was basic but good value for the price and ok for a couple of nights. Shower was great. Bathrooms could do with a repaint but the air extractor is not powerful enough to remove all the moisture. Sleep was great the bed was very comfortable. Will stay here on next visit 100% thank you!

Was disappointed on Saturday morning came down for breakfast door was locked and nobody about. We didn't stay on Saturday night as my partner was feeling unwell. Overall the hotel was clean and bed very comfortable

The bedroom ceiling was mouldy as was the shower. The blind was broken and a bright light was on all night outside the window. Door lock was difficult to lock with the key and looked damaged. We were told breakfast started at 9 am but in the morning we were told it was cancelled...Manager was rude when informing us. Book somewhere else would be my advice.

Minworth

I liked this place, rough and ready though, I thought I was walking into the Liberal House in Tamworth, they must have used the same decorator at the same time. Even the holes in the wall matched. Feral kids running up and down the hallways at midnight. Parking was haphazard as owners seemed to just park where their cars stopped. However I quite liked the place, the room was relatively quiet and comfortable. The canal was a short walk away and a couple of nice pubs too.

Parking was ok and safe enough. Disapointed I was told breakfast from 0800 the bar area was lock up. Phone manager and he said breakfast was from 0900. When I check in I was given leaflet that said from 0800 am I went to Cafe Buttie 4 mins away in car

It's cheap and cheerful. For the price you pay, don't expect the Ritz. But the rooms are clean and comfortable, the wi-fi works, there is a nice big car park and the staff are friendly.
