Its called budget for a reason but you get what you pay for. Breakfast is continental only, no hot food - there is toast, cereal, muffins/croissants and fruit. Coffee machines do all the coffees. Staff were really friendly. There is 24/7 pizza available to your room. Room was standard, the sink was in the room, separate toilet and tiny corner shower. All clean though. Came to stay here for business, so was only in the room for sleeping which worked out ok. My room was on the busy road side but it was quiet, couldn't really hear any traffic.

Awful!

The rooms are absolutely disgusting. Filthy. Centipedes were on the floor, kept appearing. The air con doesn’t work and the rooms are muggy and horrible. Massive hotel with very restricted amount of parking spaces. Staff are rude and very unhelpful.

As expected for the price, fine as a place to just sleep but is very run down and dusty. Clearly where most people stay after a heavy night so the communal areas are not great but there was security on the door so it did feel safe. The staff were great though and reasonable parking prices.

Perfect for the O2.

Exceptional value for money considering it is in central Birmingham. It is 100 yards from the O2, so perfect for what I wanted. My stay was very quiet, despite the noisy main road outside, and you have climate control in the room (and an opening window, but that obviously affects noise). It was clean, and check in was super quick. The only downside is the lack of tea & coffee in the room, but there are vending machines downstairs.

Good for the money

It is a budget hotel so I didn't expect palatial decor but it was clean, staff very friendly and courteous, decent breakfast and well situated. The room is compact but has what you need, would have liked a kettle but note to self to pack one. The mattress was replaced at the end of last year and was very firm, pillows too.
The canals are worth exploring
The Botanical gardens are well worth exploring.
I recommend the audio tour, wander at your own pace and find the hidden gems that otherwise you wouldn't see.

3 customers squashed in a small room with a hostel bed. The receptionist couldn't give us a bigger room. No kettle in the room. No ventilation in the tiny toilet. One of the guests couldn't fit in the toilet as it was for slim people. Awful 2 nights stay. Never again.

This hotel is vastly overpriced. I would give it 2/10 based on the £109 a night I paid......it would be 1/10 but the staff were good, friendly and welcoming. A fair price for this hotel would be £60 MAX. The rooms are small, old, run down, extremely basic and outdated. In need of a full renovation. The location is rough so would avoid if you are walking around at night.....tbh I would avoid regardless unless as I said it is £60 per night.
