This place was a lifesaver! The view is so beautiful and can be seen on both sides of the unit from the sliding door so it is a true view. It’s an older vibe but so adorably decorated and stocked will with supplies. The staff was so wonderful. There are events every day where you can earn prizes or money to be used in the gift shop, you can rent movies, there’s popcorn, coffee, hot chocolate in the office which is a short walk. There is 2 game rooms one for adults and one for everyone same for the spa and after 10 am the indoor pool is adults only for those who want a break from kids. There is foosball, pool tables, ping pong, a beautiful deck and grassy areas to play games, horse shoe pits, playground, a beach area, a launch for boats, fishing touniments , all kinds of events. We were here one night and wish we found it sooner. It’s basically 2 rooms with separate bathrooms and a kitchen in the middle so you can have privacy. With separate enterneces for each. Also all kinds of sculptures to take photos with we met people and played in the pool touniment, dominoes, and bingo. Such great memories and did not even need to leave the property. Thank you all. The only down fall which as not that big of deal found swim trunks hanging up by curtains but dry. This was a getaway which is rare for us and you all saved our trip!! The previous place was rough.

Stayed with kids and it was a great experience. We had a wonderful space with a lake view! We were able to enjoy both sunrise and sunet on the spacious balcony with our kids. Full kitchen too! If youre not picky with things like moderness of the space this is the lovely secluded little spot for you. We look forward to booking again!

I came to Big Bear for a meditation retreat and arrived on the fly the night before. Found Lagonita Lodge online and chose it based on its location and other reviews. The apartment was spacious, clean, and lots of amenities. Great value for price I paid. Very comfortable. My only reason for not giving it 4 out of 5 stars is I paid for a “lakeview” but it was anything but…also the I was on the ground floor and could hear people above walking around (very heavy footed). Check out time could have been a bit later too. Overall, I’d stay here again in a heartbeat..beautiful spot and lovely, friendly staff.

Moms birthday

I recently stayed at this Resort with my mom to celebrate her birthday, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! The resort is nestled in a stunning mountain setting, and everything felt so comfortable and cozy. The staff was incredibly welcoming, and the amenities were top-notch. My mom had such a great time, and it made her birthday extra special. We definitely left with lovely memories and can’t wait to return!

The lake view from the 2nd floor was beautiful. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony looking out at the lake too. The other amenities were wonderful: pontoon boat ride, ice cream social, etc. The staff were all wonderful!!!!

LOVE Lagonita! We bring our Hobie kayaks and fish for trout and just cruise! NICE boat dock on-site and it's FREE (space available). Can fish off the end of the docks, with benches and rod holders, too! GREAT, hot gas grills and a nice jacuzzi round out the amenities. Staff is EXTRA nice- and they have a 12noon checkout most days!

This is our second trip to Bear Valley. Both times we have stayed in the same property. We love the facilities, the view from the room, the surrounding beauty, the pool, and the gym, among other things. Only two suggestion: (1)the carpets need steam cleaning very badly. (2)Extra pillows should have been provided because they are too flat.
