Bicknell is a tiny quiet town, where they roll up the sidewalks at about 7 pm. Why would you ever find yourself in Bicknell? It is close to some of the most beautiful areas in Utah, and the Sunglow motel is a good value. It's a typical 50s style roadside motel building, but the owner has completely refurbished the rooms inside. We stayed in a room with two queen beds, and I have to say mine was the most comfortable motel bed I've slept in for a good long time. No carpet as the floor has been done in the popular luminant style material, which is, of course, cleaner than carpet. the bathroom area has also been updated quite nicely. It is still a budget motel so you wouldn't compare it to the new modern places but it was very clean and comfortable. I gave it four stars because is you want to warm up any food you have to walk to the tiny office and use the small microwave in the office. The room does have a small refrigerator, which did keep our food very cold. There is a restaurant, but as I was there to get out and see the beauties of the area I never got to see the inside of because it opens late, in time for lunch and closes early, because the whole town is closed early. If, like us, you're there just to sleep at night and you want to save some money, the Sunglow motel is a good option for it's cleanliness and comfort. Also, the staff that we dealt with were friendly and helpful.

I do not often write reviews, but we selected the Sunglow Motel in Bicknell based on reviews I read during the planning process of our trip. This motel worked well for an overnight stop between Vegas and Moab to visit Capitol Reef National Park. The outside looks like a typical motel, but the rooms have been recently updated, and we found it to be a very nice place to stay. I would readily stay there again and would recommend it to friends. We did try two of the pies as other reviewers recommended and enjoyed the lunch we had there on the way to Capitol Reef NP.

Stayed here for 1 night for a spot in between Bryce Canyon and Arches, where I was going to the following morning, and this was perfect. The room was very cute, spacey, and clean. Furniture was modern and bed was super comfy. Parking right outside of rooms is really convenient. Had dinner at the restaurant as well and food was delicious, make sure to order some of their pie!! Overall service was great and very friendly and I would definitely stay here again. Also super close to Capitol Reef, like a 15 - 20 minute drive.

I put convenient because it’s very close to capital reef national Park. The town is very small and if you come in November, most of the things will be closed, but the few places that we found open were amazing that we got that location because it’s very close to the park, definitely would stay there again awesome place great employees

This motel was a pleasant surprise! It was clean, nice looking, and was a great spot if you are going to visit Capitol Reef national park. The staff was friendly and we didn't have any issues. The restaurant had great food and service. You have to try the pie!

Room was just what you needed, no more.

Room was updated, spartan but sharp and nice. Everything was clean. Bed actually had blankets vs the oh-so-popular comforter that is too hot for anything above 55 degrees. Bed was extremely comfortable. Refrigerator was big and cold, with a freezer for your ice packs. No microwave. Just a note to Utah visitors, small towns very rarely have anything open on Sunday. You might be wise to pack some food on Saturday if you are staying over.

Clean and reasonable.

Very clean, well maintained motel. Reasonably priced for the area. About 9 miles from Torrey so not a bad drive to Capitol Reef. Server was good. My wife wanted an extra blanket and one was brought to the room in a few minutes. If you're looking for a clean basic room, this is the place.

This hotel has been newly renovated. Very cute inside our room. The parking lot has just been redone and the attached restaurant looks like it has been renovated. The food was good and the pie awesome! We parked right in front of our room for easy loading and in loading, no steps. Highly recommend!
