The property is beautiful. It’s like staying on a Native American property. There are teepees, cabins… all in the “glamping” mode! Pool, campfire. Restaurant on site or try the Mexican, pizza and other options.

I feel like we got catfished by the photos on the website. The photos and the price make it seem like a luxury resort while in reality it’s just an average place in need of some serious landscaping, weeding, pool cleaning, etc. Tons of props were brought in for those photos that don’t exist in real life. Disappointing.

Nice hotel but room is too dark
Very nice place to relax with lots of options. Only issue is room is too dark. They need more lights in the room. Also a make up mirror would be nice.

We stayed at Capitol Reef Resort during our 3rd stop on our Utah roadtrip. They have an on-site restaurant, gift shop, fire rings, among other things. The view from our room was absolutely amazing. The best of our entire trip.

We enjoyed the area and the hotel was close to the park. Walking around the property to see the llamas and horses was enjoyable. The pool was chilly but nice.

The view from the balcony was beautiful and the pool area was nice. One of our rooms’ balcony door was open when we checked in, so some flys/moths made their way inside and made the room less inviting.

We stayed in a teepee. We used both the heater and the air conditioner during our stay. The nightly campfire kept us warm. We enjoyed the exercise equipment & the hot tub while simultaneously gazing at the magestical mountain view. The Pioneer Kitchen offered a fresh seafood selection. The Rim Rock restaurant accross the street provided an excellent steak & burger selection. The bathroom was spacious & properly vented. The bathroom provided all shower/bathing necessities along with makeup removal products. The Horseback rides & Llama walks were on the property adjacent to Capitol Reef Resorts. I highly recommend both. We did the 6 hour Jeep Safari ride to Temple of the Sun & Temple of the Moon. The tour included curbside pickup and drop off as well as nutritious snacks & bottled water. Half of the roads were unpaved and inaccessible by car. I highly recommend the 6 hour Jeep Safari Tour. The Conestoga Wagons at Capitol Reef Resorts are wonderful as well. The entire staff was very welcoming, professional, accomodating, and gave us suggestions on nearby activities. Capitol Reef Resorts met & exceeded our expectations. Capitol Reef Resorts Deserves A 5 Star Rating In All Areas Of Hospitality! *****

Great service
The room was clean and comfortable and the location was convenient for Capitol Reef. As for service, we were able to drop off some luggage before check-in time ( so it wouldn’t sit in the car while we were hiking) including a small refrigerator. Yes, a refrigerator! 🙂 When we returned, it had all been placed in our room, including the fridge which was properly plugged in. Thanks to Gunner at the front desk for service above and beyond!
