When I reviewed the bill, found an extra $3.00 charge for a purchase from the sort of "commissary" room. We never purchased or took anything from that room. When I brought that to the attention of the manager, he agreed to delete the charge, but said he needed to check the camera images, like he did not believe me. He even suggested that I agree to double the charge if he came to a different conclusion. He refused to check the camera while I was there. Later I got an email that said the charge was a "clerical" error without explaining the nature of the "clerical" error.
1. What was the "clerical" error and how will the error be corrected?
2. Unclear how the purchases are monitored and completed. There is no way to monitor what is taken from the room. If there is a policy that honest residents are supposed to report purchases to the front desk, which is not always manned, there is no sign that says that.
3. Never explained how the purchase was associated with our room.
Suggest that how the purchases from the "commissary" are managed be reviewed and corrected.
