Hotel Zenit Convento San Martín
"Very kind staff and nice entrance, design was neat with the stained glass and high ceilings. The room was a disappointment, smaller than we expected. In room coffee was very basic, the fridge light was on all night and I had to devise a towel covering. Staff cleaned daily but sheets were not changed. ..."

Hotel Palacio Bellas Artes San Sebastián, Curio Collection by Hilton
"This hotel was pretty much brand new at the time of our visit so looked spotless, stylish and beds were very comfortable. The rooms are quite large and spacious, with sliding partition doors between bathroom/'living space'/bedroom. Ours was a little dark with just one small window/french door to the balcony and the lighting was fashionably dim in places. Good storage though and shower is excellent. Location is ok - expect to walk 10-20 mins to get to Old Town or Gros but it is accessible by taxi which is a plus. One disappointment from me was that we booked this hotel as part of our wedding anniversary trip. Perhaps I am a little spoiled but we got wished a happy anniversary at check in and that was all - and then we had to pay €3 per bottle to drink the water in the room. Thankfully San Sebastián water is great so we were able to refill from the tap but it was a shame to not have the occasion marked and to have basic amenities be so expensive. We also had trouble getting some service from the front desk eg asking for some cutlery - they asked us to go upstairs to our room and phone room service in order to get it - and asking for late check out - which we weren't able to do until about 8am on day of check out which led us being unable to access the service. I somewhat expect better from this calibre of hotel and though staff are friendly I didn't feel like anyone wanted to make our stay feel special. Wouldn't necessarily stay again based on service and location."
