I got the palm room at the back corner when I came. I’m glad they let me checkin before 4, like they originally told me. I checked in at 10. Could smell the cleaning product but the room wasn’t so bad but old. The only issue I had was that the next day, the WC got clogged after I used it. It was a terrible experience and it was my birthday 😭😭
I told the man at the front desk and he came and unclogged it with a plunger. I appreciate his niceness but I felt embarrassed and it was just weird. I believe it has happened previously with other guests so I was wondering why they still let that room out. Later, I went to meet him to change rooms and he told me it was a one time thing but I told him I think it would happen again. He eventually changed my room to one within the building called the captain’s quarter or so. That one was far far better so I was wondering why they would put me in the first one. Was actually offended. But thank God I asked for another room.
I appreciate their cleanliness and other than that first room experience, I’d say it’s a nice place, though old.
