Had to find another hotel after arriving.

We arrived to check in and was told they did not take cash. I had been told earlier that it was okay to pay with cash. There was a very big dance competition taking place for the weekend, that is why we were there. We were more than 2 1/2 hours away from home. It scared me that my child was not going to have a place to stay for the evening. I have never had this happen and loved this hotel chain, but as of now I cannot trust them. It was the only hotel chain we had stayed with for over 20 years. My husband logged on and found a hotel right down the road that was $200 cheaper and just as nice. It also included a very nice hot breakfast.

Great stay for anyone visiting UGA or Athens

Holiday Inn Express never disappoints. Very clean and comfortable. Hot breakfast was good. Plenty of seating in the lobby. My son loved the lemon infused water station in the lobby all night.

It was a quick and simple check-in. Miss Jazzy, the front desk person, had a wonderful personality, and she was very knowledgeable about the hotel and the surrounding area. The room was clean and well lit and just a pleasure to be in. At check -out, I would have liked to have gotten a receipt, as this was a business trip, but it was explained to me that I could not get one, since I booked through hotels.com. This was not Jazzy who helped me, but some other front desk person. I found this odd, as I got one from the hotel in Atlanta where I had stayed the night before.
