Amber at at the front desk is awesome. We think INDIGO Athens is terrific, though having stayed there now 4 times in the past 6 months, I will tell you that no matter what their breakfast service is slow.. and that does not seem to matter whether I am the sole customer at 6:30am or whether it's busy.

Thank you for your review! We absolutely love Amber too! She's a shining example of our commitment to customer service. Our food and beverage team creates fantastic food in our Madison Bar. We will look into making our morning service more expedient. Thank you for bringing this to our attention.

Nice Hotel within walking distance to downtown.

Very nice accommodations overall. The hotel was somewhat under seige on the afternoon we arrived as there was a group preparing for a wedding in the outdoor space off the lobby. The other challenge was a large dog in a room not far from ours who had apparently been left without supervision. Every time a door closed or there was a noise in the hall, the poor dog would go ballistic.

Not bad overall

Pros: Walkable to Athens.
Cons: Add a fridge to the room.
OK, so this is a LEED Gold building with a minimalist industrial flair. What does that mean? It means the ceiling of the room is bare concrete, so a) when you lay in the bed, you are looking up at this huge slab of concrete, and b) you can *smell* the concrete. You know that "concretey" smell you get in a warehouse or a basement? Yeah, that's it. It also means that there is no fridge in the room. Heck, even cheap hotels have a fridge, even a microwave, but I guess that extra electricity would damage their LEED standing perhaps? Anyway, it's dumb. They do have one of those single-serve coffee pots, though. However, location is close and walkable to downtown Athens; room is clean and bathroom / shower is nice.

Best in Athens

Pros: Quiet, great location, leed certified cool vibe great bar, pet-friendly
My husband and I stay here all the time when visiting our daughter at UGA. It's absolutely got the best vibe, clean rooms, pet-friendly, awesome & attentive staff, decent breakfast and lounge/bar area plus outdoor seating, short walk to downtown Athens and a shuttle (on occasion?) to football games, featured restaurants, etc. If you are hyper noise-sensitive, request a room facing downtown to avoid the fire station on the back of the hotel. It's been our only choice in Athens for 3 years running...

Awesome!

Pros: Close restaurants, Quiet, close to bars., close to music venues.
Gorgeous, modern hotel with a friendly, helpful staff! Within walking distance of downtown Athens, restaurants, bars and music venues. The GA band art posters on the wall were a nice touch! The room was very quiet, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was extremely modern and had a wonderful shower and was well-lit. I highly recommend this hotel!
