One thing that was disappointing was that all the power on our room went out about midnight. My husband went down to ask for help and the desk clerk wasn’t very pleased. A breaker had switched off in a panel not located in our room. Others, the hotel is quiet and clean.

They were accommodating and helpful. However the doors were very thin and you could hear everything from the people outside, to doors closing, and the cars and motorcyles on the streets. I had checked in early after a long day of travel and was resting when someone unlocked my door and was about to come in and then shut it when I woke up. Staff at front desk said it was a housekeeper, but as a solo female traveler, it made me feel a bit uneasy. I thought I was getting a bathtub, so picture are misleading, place is small and the shower doesn't have a door and water goes all over the place. Location was close to shopping and food. Overall was okay.

Staff was friendly and helpful. There was a small problem with the room. They put my friend in a room that was already occupied. He walked in to see someone already in the bed. Fortunately the guest was asleep. Management apologized to him and put my friend in a different room.

Everything was good except transport and laundry

Everything about the hotel was good — clean, comfortable, and pleasant stay. However, transportation is not very convenient, and there’s no laundry service or washing machine available, which was a bit inconvenient.

We chose Hotel Twenty-Three because it was near Schiphol airport and the price. There were only 14 Expedia reviews when we booked, which suggests it’s a new enterprise. We were delighted to find the hotel was in a town and not on a commercial strip; there were restaurants a short walk away. Our room was large, as was the bed, which was the most comfortable of the hotel beds we encountered on this trip. The hotel staff were friendly and efficient, it was quiet, parking was easy, and the breakfast had a good array of options. Because it’s new, there are still some things to work out, mainly in the bathroom: lighting is terrible and tissues, a waste basket and hooks to hangs things on would be of use. Overall, a very good hotel.

Hidden gem

Had a 18hour layover from Malta to Philadelphia. Hotel Twenty three is one of those hidden gems that you wish you found sooner. Check in was super easy. The customer service was awesome! Room was huge and clean. Felt really comfortable sleeping on the bed.
