He has built the property with his own hands & has done an incredible job. The area is beyond beautiful, absolutely spotless clean & nearby some beautiful locations. The owners are some of the friendliest, warmest hosts I have ever came across. They went above and beyond to ensure we were settled and happy with our stay. They even fixed a couple of bikes for us to take out to explore the gorgeous countryside. I cannot recommend this place enough. It was exceptionally cheap for what we got and I will 100% be returning to L'Atelier in the future. I absolutely loved it here."

"Sadly, our stay was not what we expected as the reality did not match the facilities and information given on Hotels.com. Positives - Our room (Rabelais) was quiet, clean and attractive. Negatives - We had great difficulty finding the very rural property using the address given and had to ask locals for directions, twice. (The hostess admitted the address was wrong.) Check-in is from 6p.m. so this made us later still, after a long journey. Parking is not clearly marked, so we parked near Reception (the wrong place, so we were immediately told to move the car). We were unexpectedly asked to pay local taxes, when Hotels.com said "taxes and fees included" (small amount which we obviously paid, but it caused another problem). Hotels.com listed a kitchenette with cookware under "Room description" for Rabelais. The hostess told us there was no kitchen with our room and we should have known from the price. She eventually allowed us to share with the other guests a small communal kitchen area, which involved going outside and round the corner from our room, but made it clear that this was a favour and for the evening only. The "Park view" from Rabelais was not what we expected. All in all, the impression we had was that we were a nuisance, when all we expected was what Hotels.com had listed. "

"This property exceeded all of our expectations! It was clean, extremely well-equipped for children, and spacious. The beds were firm and comfortable. Our host Claire was easy to communicate with and very helpful. The pool is heated and Claire takes great care of it. There is also a games room outside (archery, darts, ping pong) and toys and books for the children - when they get tired of visiting the friendly goats! We also really enjoyed the property’s close location to a well-stocked grocery store and several places to get delicious coffee, bread, pastries, and lunches/dinners. Quite a few excellent Michelin star restaurants are also within an 8-40 min drive. We highly recommend this property and will stay here again!"
