"The whole experience was exceptional. The cottage was lovely. The Baretta experience was great. We enjoyed fishing, golf and horseback riding as well. We will absolutely be back."

Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Rome
"I arrived at hotel yesterday and thermostat in my suite was at 85 degrees. I immediately turned it down to 72 and waited about 45 minutes - no improvement, no air movement. Called the front desk and the lady working was lovely. Came right up and checked thermostat and said call her after 30 minutes if room does not cool. It did not and I called - she said they had no additional rooms available but she would check with manager. After another 30 minutes she said they could move me to another room (not sure why an empty room suddenly became available) but again not her fault and she was very nice. Moved to another room on the floor below. Room was smaller, bathroom was tiny and it was fine but they should have discounted or comped my room b/c it was a two hour debacle and no help moving my bags etc. This was my second time staying at this hotel on the way to pick up my daughter at camp - I will never stay there again. I asked the front desk this morning at check out if they could discount my one night stay due to all the difficulties and she said she would discuss with the manager and call me. Never got a call. Plus I had to use an app to pay $12 to park in an empty parking lot for about 12 hours. Do not stay at this hotel."
