Water Street Inn
"It really was a lovely stay for my Mom's 70th Birthday. Our waiter at dinner Monday night was fabulous. This historic building was beautiful and so well maintained. In our room the ceiling lights were dirty with bugs and the the vents were super furry otherwise the room was great. I understand we stayed on a discounted night but if I was paying your full rates that would be very disappointing. My mother loves her coffee so after making one in the kerig, I went down for coffee but there was none in the lobby which I thought was odd. I asked and it was way down the hall on a bus cart? When I brought it back she said I can't even smell it and it tastes weak. Shoot. We got ready and went down for breakfast. We had this waitress I had noticed the day before seemed "not happy to be there". Middle age with short blonde hair. We ordered coffee, ready for a good cup, put our food order. The coffee was out of that same pot so was also weak, My Mother was very politely said "say - this coffee seems very weak and I can't even smell it". The waitress very sternly told her that this is the house blend and looked at us like how dare we discredit anything at this fine establishment and just walked away. My mother was very taken back & I almost left right there. After a spa day, shopping, dinner, drinks, this is how it ends? She brought out 1 more cup? Then said it probably is the same. We stayed the food was awesome. Poor customer service just sours a wonderful time."
