"The front desk staff both at check in and check out were SO lovely. They were both nice, cheerful and funny. The rooms were clean — but that was part of the problem. The smell of cleaning products was OVERPOWERING upon check in. We had to open up the doors and windows to let the cross breeze fumigate the room. The pillowcases smelled a bit mildewy and the room was very allergen inducing. I’m sure it’s due to the age of the motel. I hate “complaining” because it’s a very cute hotel with a lovely little stream behind it and seems to be the nicest in town. But if someone has serious allergies or asthma, this place would wreck havoc on your lungs and sinuses. "
