Check out quite a few lodgings that are within a 3-mile (5-kilometer) radius of Wonju's town center, including the Hotel Inter-Burgo Wonju and Hotel BIZINN.
The Oak Valley is approximately 11 miles (17 kilometers) outside the town center of Wonju. An alternative place to stay is the Benikea Hotel Munmak, which is about 5 miles (9 kilometers) away. Some other possible places to stay include the Kensington Resort Chungju and the UN Tourist Hotel.
When you've got the time, adventurous travelers should venture to the other parts of Gangwon. Gangwon is well known for beaches, coastal plains, forests and rivers, and other interesting visitor places of interest are traditional villages. Bold travelers can throw themselves into snowboarding in the region.
30 miles (48 kilometers) away from Wonju, you will find Seo, which boasts Vivaldi Park Ocean World and Daemyung Vivaldi Park Ski World. If you head to Seo, check out the Vivaldi Park and Mokziga Pension. Or, you could consider staying in Bongpyeong, 30 miles (51 kilometers) northeast of Wonju, where you can choose between the Phoenix Park Resort Hotel and Phoenix Park Resort Condominium. The Lee Hyo-Seok Memorial Hall and Phoenix Park - Blue Canyon are some of the more popular points of interest to explore while in Bongpyeong.
Consider spending a few hours enjoying thrills and spills with Gangwon's sports fans at a community game. Seoul World Cup Stadium is 60 miles (96 kilometers) to the west of Wonju. Those sports fans that need to find hotels in the area surrounding the game should check out the Conrad Seoul or the Grand Hilton Seoul.
