Great location and VUE

Love this place! Front desk woman was abrupt about the hotel policies upon check in! Make sure your waivers are signed BEFORE check in! Rooms could use a full-size mirror and more outlets would be handy! Love the location and will be our go to this December!

The pool and hot tub were nice. The elevator was broken our whole stay. Carrying luggage up two flights of stairs with no hotel help is bad business. Internet kept going out making me working from the hotel impossible. Soap, shampoo and conditioner dispensers were broken in shower.

We had a balcony view room overlooking the river and it was excellent! Room was clean, beds very comfortable. The bathroom was small but clean. The elevator wasn’t working. The vending machine we used wasn’t working. Overall for the money we would go back again! The problems were annoying but small.

Everything was very good, clean and tidy. We loved the bar and the food was delicious. The view of the river is relaxing and they also offered us a lot for our money. The only complaint would be that the bathroom was too small

I’m not one to write hotel reviews. I travel for work and understand mistakes happen. I’ve also traveled to the Dells and know most lodging is aging. I booked my room on Expedia, received a confirmation, and then got a text from the hotel saying it wasn’t confirmed. I called and they gave me a different room deposit, which ended in 3 needless calls to the hotel and two bookings with two pending deposits. Once on property the staff told me to “check my bank statements” if I think I was overcharged. Helpful. Our room was riverview with balcony. The door frame and locks didn’t fit properly and were either hard to open or didn’t lock properly. We had an empty conditioner dispenser and staff gave me a travel size that didn’t last for one set of family showers and said they didn’t have staff to refill. There’s a tub but no drain stopper. I’d call to complain but there’s no phone in the room. Two inoperable outlets and spotty (at best) WiFi. Noise is horrible, elevators are slow, and many unhappy guests are walking around frustrated. After having to affirm the no pets policy repeatedly at check-in, nothing was done about the large dog on a nearby 1st floor balcony that I inquired about twice. Don’t attempt the coffee bar, both me and two other families had a hard time getting staff to serve us for 10+ min after greeting at the door. Land of Natura has a great waterpark and we loved it, but I can’t help but be disappointed they associate themselves with this property.

My husband and I just stayed for the night because we were having dinner with friends for her and my birthday up in WI Dells, WI. If not for the later dinner and going out afterwards, we would have just driven back home. We shouldn't have been charged more than $100 for this place. I thought it was a newer hotel and therefore would be clean. Nope. I thought I saw mold on the ceiling near the bed and above the shower in the bathroom. It was either that or water stains that could lead into mold but either way should be taken care of. I knew going in we couldn't have the river view side. All we had was a view of the parking lot, but I didn't bother touching the curtain much, because it was filthy dirty, like someone grabbed it with dirty fingers and obviously is never cleaned. The fan in the bathroom was loud. There was hardly any lighting over the shower. When we took a shower this morning, there was no shampoo or body gel left, only conditioner, and I was only able to get out a few drops out. I had to use the small hand bar soap, which was fine, but still, these shouldn't be run down that much. Showing again that cleanliness in this hotel isn't a priority. The overall room smelled musty and when we left today, our vehicle smelled like strong sewage and my husband said that he saw someone draining the tank. Not a great hotel experience in our corner room #1525. I have photos to prove it. There are things included with your stay here that we didn't get to utilize.

Check in process took forever due the multiple waiver forms that needed to be signed to stay at the property. There were 2 1/2 rows of parking on property site. Otherwise you had to park across the road. We were told by the clerk if you park anywhere else, your car will be towed. We got a river balcony view and could not even go out on the balcony due to the mosquitoes that were so bad. One elevator and two baggage carts were available to use. It was not a warm fuzzy feeling to be there. We were with no children. Would not have paid for the upgrade Riverview and we’ve been told that mosquitoes were horrible.

Poor customer service

Dear Hotels.com, Thank you for reaching out regarding my recent stay at the VUE Boutique Hotel & Boathouse. While the hotel's location was convenient, I unfortunately had several negative experiences impacting my overall satisfaction. Specifically, I encountered unfriendly and unhelpful service from multiple staff members. The restaurant staff at the boathouse provided poor service, and employees at the hotel itself were similarly unhelpful when I sought assistance. This was particularly disappointing. It's important to note, however, that one staff member, Manuely, who cleaned our room, provided exceptional service and the water bouncy place were the highlight of our stay. This underscores the inconsistency in service quality. Furthermore, I experienced two incredibly concerning incidents involving racial comments – one from a male Starbucks/bartender and another from a female staff member collecting linens. These comments were completely unacceptable and created an uncomfortable and hostile environment. I hope you will investigate these matters and take appropriate action to address the issues with staff training and behavior. Improving customer service and ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment for all guests should be a top priority. I believe this feedback is crucial for enhancing the guest experience at your property.
