La Posada Hotel
"If you are looking for a period piece property to stay at with some railroad and Route 66 flair, you're on the right track (see what I did there?). At around 100 years old the property is in remarkably great shape and sufficiently modernized while holding on to the past. The food and service at the restaurant was above expectation. If you have time, visit the adjacent museum for some history of train travel and also some local culture (we want to return when the restoration of the classic passenger railroad car is completed). Don't forget that this is an active train depot, and they run all day and night. You may even get a chance to wave at some train passengers bound for destinations unknown."
