Room very noisy at night! There was a consistent humming noise in room which got worse then went away then started up again got worse then went away! Not sure if it was outside or in hotel. Alley way a night that the room over looked had people shouting and being noisy! Badly fitted duet quilt that in the end i took off bed and just had duet cover over us!,but couldn't believe the disgusting quilt underneath the cover! Looked as though it had been out on the street! Very discoloured and large stains! which we have photos of!

Hotel is in an amazing location. It had a lovely set up with attractive looking bar & lounge area. Breakfast was just right with good hot & cold choices. Room was lovely & comfortable with good views of the cathedral, only slight criticism was the bathroom was a bit tired, there’s lots of marks on the floor & the bath seemed heavily stained but it did still seem clean. All the staff we encountered were all friendly, approachable & professional. We would definitely stay here again.

Room was a little dusty, new lick of paint was noticeable. Mostly the hotel and rooms are quite outdated. Can see scuffs and marks everywhere. Good pillows, tiny double bed. Location is excellent. Parking for a night is £15.

Disappointed with the first room that we were allocated it was classed as a small double but could not even walk around the bed it was almost a single room The bar staff were overworked and the room was tired Considering the kind of hotel they rate themselves, I was disappointed to have to pay £5 to leave my luggage for a few hours after spending 2 nights The only good points about the hotel is it’s in a good position if you are a tourist, we will be visiting Winchester again but will not be visiting this hotel again

The room was large and comfortable with great views of the cathedral. The parking area was small but we managed to get a space. The bathroom could have done with a deep clean and the cooked breakfast was limited for a vegetarian. Overall I would stay again.

We enjoyed our stay rooms were dated & shower never got above tepid even after running the shower for some time as advised by maintenance person. But hotel location was brilliant as we were shopping for Christmas so could take bags back to our room. Staff were quite helpful & friendly

On arrival I was greeted courteously and directed to my room. Room was clean and comfortable but looking a bit dated as is the bathroom, All the lights in the bedroom were lamps which meant took a few minutes to go round and switch them in and off, no central light switch. In the cupboard I found a fan, heater, iron and ironing board, safe and hairdryer. I was on the 1st floor overlooking the cathedral, which is what I was hoping for. Restaurant/bar area was clean but needs some tlc. Bar staff were friendly and my dinner was very hot and tasty. Had an issue with my key which was sorted quickly. Did not have breakfast in the hotel so cannot comment on that, Receptionist on check out was quite abrupt and did not ask how my stay was or if everything was ok.

Very clean and spacious room. Very friendly welcome, nice touch with the robes and drinks in fridge in the room. Breakfast was really good. Very friendly bar chap called Ryan very welcoming and made good cocktails certainly worth trying.
