Very poor quality hotel

The motorway the hotel is situated on was closed. Nobody told us and we couldnt get to it till after it ooened at nearly 4.30am. Two of the rooms had broken beds, broken towel rails and broken curtain rails.

The main redeeming feature of the property was the friendly service from the staff. The room is outdated, the bathroom had rusting taps and showerhead, there was one bath towel in a room allocated for a family of four, and the hotel had run out of breakfasts so we had to make alternative arrangements. Not good.

We stayed just the one night, but found the bed was too soft for us and the bathroom Although was clean, it stank! The smell of the drains was awful even when the door was closed to the bathroom. It smelt damp which automatically made me feel it was dirty.

Disappointing stay

Staff on reception were helpful. Room was very basic and poorly maintained. Hadn’t been vacuumed fully, couldn’t access WiFi, tv didn’t work, curtains were partially falling off and the room had no towels. There was tea and coffee making facilities though. Lots of noise from motorway and from some guests who had dogs with them. Very poor sleep quality and all in all a negative experience. Wouldn’t recommend

Wouldn’t recommend

We were on a family trip. The rooms were not clean at all . The bathrooms looked as if they hadn’t been cleaned for quite awhile. There was rubbish down the side of the beds. There was a really dirty towel on top of unit and a pair of dirty socks by the side of the tv.

Lovely and powerful shower, drainage needs looking at as spilling out a bit from the shower onto the floor (Room 24). I stay over frequently for work, decentfacility including a nice sized TV and hair dryer in the room. Pleasently checked in and very comfy bed.
