Ever heard the term "putting lipstick on a pig"? In fairness, it was Travelodge prices(ish) so what did i expect? Looking around for a pair of slippers (and failing) to keep your socks clean is a bit much though, right?

My partner and I were attending a wedding nearby and the hotel was perfect. From the minute we walked in. Reception staff were very friendly and welcoming, The bar and restaurant staff acted like they'd known you for years. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be coming back for another stay.

1 check in e de sk so had to wait a long time to check in. Room dirty and poorly maintained. Bathroom layout very poor. Curtains no match for very bright external lights. Breakfast selection poor and was asked to move seats No one asked how my stay was when I checked out. JW Lees using my email to send unsolicited marketing emails despite advising I did not want to receive them.
